I will try to be fair in my opinion. So far I have mostly spent time with the administration control panel. As I mentioned in the other thread, it is way too complex for most needs. It is hugely easier to manage and administer the forums with Version 2 administration control panel.

Things that take one or two steps in Version 2 administration take three or four times as many steps in Version 3.

Things that you can figure out without documentation in Version 2 require a close reading of the documentation in Version 3.

As far as the changes in the forum, I don't see enough improvement for my users to make up for the administration hassles. But I think that opinion is heavily influenced by the fact that my very first introduction to Version 3 I got slapped in the face with the new administration panels because I was forced to reset the permissions on all the forums before I could even see how the new forum looks. By the time I could look at the forum I was already pi$$ed at the administration over-complexity to do simple things.
