I would like to convert to phpBB as soon as possible please.
I have used it before and it is very, very good.
In my opinion somewhere between IPB and vBulletin.

The phpBB is missing some key features that I need like display forum contents in Sorted Alphabetical Order -and- I need to be able to move a posting from one Forum Group into another.

Please upgrade me as soon as you can, Thank you:

I have created forums for my friend (that I will be running for her - she has asked me to set them up.

Here's her forum

She opted to have phpbbstar as her domain name. Will she still qualify for the phpbb3 when the time comes for the switch? She and I have discussed it at length and she does want the newer version.

Please advise.

Does it really matter that I voted no? You're just gonna convert everything to phpbb3 regardless. Personally I think it stinks. Too complex and I don't have the time to get into figuring it out... and the test forum looks like shit. All those added features - portal, shout box, statistics and whatever - simply pointless waste of space.

If I had a choice I'd choose to stay on phpbb2, as that is simpler, easier and not cluttered with all sorts of crap and an admin panel for IT-experts.

I really like the admin cp the styles dont seem as cool but there are some good ones. I would like some flexibility in the gfx maybe have the opportunity to add to a pool of backgrounds to make theme images packs for customizing the forum look. I do have stuff you can view at deviant art.

Ok, the poll has closed and I didn't get to vote but for the record I'm NOT in favor of the conversion. First of all...... I have set up a test forum and checked it out, it simply isn't what I need, phpbb2 is. Other then the extra mods that virtually create an entirely new site altogether the version is still not stable as I have found several bugs already that will be sure to decrease the amount of traffic that I'm currently getting. I am a new member to freeforums.ca and I'm currently concentrating on gaining new traffic not frustrating my current traffic with this version (phpbb3). In any case, I believe that the conversion will take place with or without my opinion at this point. Let me also add that all of your emails go into junk mail for hotmail and yahoo accounts therefor, be prepared to have a mass amount of angry users on this support forum beacuse they will find out about the conversion at the last moment. With all that said, I just want to be at the top of the list, so please remember me when I write you again for help to re-construct my forums as I need to be. This is sure to be a headache for me beginning with the fact that my forum is currently in Spanish and phpbb3 is not fully translated (at least not the styles that I tested). I hope you'll benefit from my feedback and will help me in a timely manner to deal with the mess that this conversion will be sure to cause. If by chance I can request to NOT convert, consider this post as my request. As always.... thank you in advance
