Natural SEO Title Meta Tags

Hello Friends,

Natural SEO and on page optimization starts with meta tags. Meta tags are on the page behind the page you see when your website is viewed on your browser. These tags are very important in SEO.

There are a ton of tags you can use but we will only focus on the most important ones. They are:

• Title

• Description

• Keywords

Meta tags are far from being unused so don't delude yourself just because they aren't the whiz bang SEO tool of yesteryear.

Here's a few reasons I can think to use meta tags and use them right:

1. Lack of Meta Description can be used against you to hijack your site description! Recently someone did this by simply submitting the site with a bogus description to a bunch of directories and eventually Google picked up and used the bogus description since it was missing from the HTML of the site.

2. AdSense actually looks at the meta keywords and description, or at least it did as AdSense changes often. The meta tags weighted some things on the page and the oddest instance was someone I know had something in Spanish in the meta tag and it triggered all Spanish advertising on the page.

3. The catch-22 with Meta Descriptions is they need to be unique PER PAGE otherwise Google will lump them into duplicate content and used to make them supplemental, so if you're going to use them, don't use ONE description site wide.

Below are some wise usage of these tags :
1. Use your top keywords in your title tags
2. Keep the title tag as simple as possible and as short as possible (less than 10 characters)
3. Now if its short, you must not repeat the keywords you use.
After having a good title tags and description, there comes meta tags. Meta elements are HTML or XHTML elements used to provide structured metadata about a Web page. Such elements must be placed as tags in the head section of an HTML or XHTML document.

Meta Tags are very important component of SEO. But I don't think Google considers meta keywords tag any more.
