Syntax Highlighting for Delphi Code?
Hello,
i am new to forummate.com and am looking for a forum where i can have syntax highlighting for delphi. i am neither an phpbb expert nor native english speaker, so please be patient ![]() as for my current search results i found that "Geshi" is a syntax highlighter that might work. GeSHi - Generic Syntax Highlighter :: Home however that covers a lot more languages - which is nice but basically not necessary in my case. anyway - simple question: is it possible to install / manage delphi syntax highlighting as in geshi with this board? tnank you in advance! |

Hi Code Wolf welcome to forumate
I will leave leave this to one of the admins to answer if that's Ok Have you set up a forum here yet ? If not you could sign up for one have a good look around, a bit of a play and if its not what you want just ask for it to be deleted. If you get a phpbb3 forum we do have various langue packs installed on them and other langue's can be installed if it is possible. We hope you enjoy your stay, we are here when ever you need help and have a wide range of already answered questions/ tutorials to help. Paul

hmm
maybe we are talking about different languages here. delphi = programming language. such as C++, Java, Pascal and so on. Syntax Highlighting for this would... - well highlight the syntax of this "code" as for example on programming forums like delphi-praxis.net or many others. see screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/6M2bf0W9 in these forums u just use [ code = delphi ] yourcodehere [ /code ] (without the spaces) this seems to be activated via something like the mentioned "Geshi" add on. and that is what i am asking... is there something similar available with these boards or can it be installed? thanks! |

Not confused at all mate.....I know exactly what you are asking and did say to wait for an administrator.
The mentioned languages by me was because you said English was not your native language, it was mentioned so you could set your forum up in the language you speak/want. I'm sure One of the Admin team will answer your original question as soon as they see it. Paul

So sorry, we don't support ftp or install install / manage delphi syntax highlighting as in geshi with this board. It's okay if you post on your own forum or in our General Discussion. We just support the members of phpBB3 and PHP-Nuke. We don't talk about the code too much. Just post any question, request, issue,... We'll support you with our best. Do you want to talk about BBCode? "[code=delphi] yourcodehere [/code]"??? Thanks for choosing our service, friend.

thank you tanduy2506 for answering.
unfortunatly the main purpose of my forum will be to chat about delphi code, so this feature is a must have. please delete my forum at Free Forum Hosting and also my account here. thank you and sorry for the trouble this may have caused. i found a forum that supports what i need now and will go on there. |
