phpBB Support Forum / Re: AOK Forum - The Prop Den

I couldn't use it, so I couldn't check if it worked.  I was locked out of doing anything.  And it looked as broken as the main forum, but if it was just a straight transfer that would make sense.  But I couldn't check if any of the features worked to see if it would fix or correct the forum issues we were having.

What is the createaforum system?

And if you provide a back-up, could it be from a time before it broke recently.  Sorry, I don't know the exact date it broke, but maybe a save from before October 20.  If that is possible?

Hi, something has happened with the forum, so now all older posts are listed as being posted on October 20, 2025.  New posts have the correct date.  Can this be fixed?

Since I haven't heard back regarding the alternate forum, I assume there is no way for me to test it out, as nothing is working on that site.

At this point... can the forum be fixed and saved or is it broken beyond repair?

It is not possible to make changes to the settings on the alternate forum.  So it is not possible to test if it is possible to upload avatars.

That's the new forum.

Regarding the user not being able to log in.  It works now.  If you did something, thanks. :)

I get this warning when I log in:

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/auth/auth.php on line 479: Undefined array key "acl_"

[phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/includes/functions.php on line 4191: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at [ROOT]/includes/functions.php:3076)

But it logged me in, but there is no way to change any settings.  The whole forum is locked, so no way to test if it's possible to upload avatars.

Also, there is a user on the actual forum, who cannot log in now.

I don't want to mess with things, as it has been too long since I've messed with the settings, so how can I help him.

It wasn't possible to log in over there.

I get a server not found error.

And where do I check that avatars are allowed to upload?  Is that maybe something that is switched off on our normal forum?

But how can we test if the new software allows upload of avatars?

Oh, I wanted to post this picture... but then I tried adding a new reply to the section and the "no post" thing went away.  So I guess this wasn't an issue at all and just not me realizing that if the latest post is too far back... it doesn't list anything in that column.  One issue gone, then.

Well, many of the issues deal with when posting.

But it didn't fix that forum section from not showing posts.  We haven't tried uploading avatars to the new one to see if that works.  And we really have no way of testing these things on the new one you made... so we cannot see if it fixed those issues.

It looks acceptable, but I'm not seeing how it fixes the issues we are having.  Also... if we make the switch, will the URL for the forum change?  How will people then be able to find it?

The forum link doesn't show the grey and black style.

And the "Officially Licensed Props Discussion" still shows it has no posts on the front page, even though it has a lot of posts.  Is that a bug that is fixed when the transfer i made?

Also, please wait with the switch.  I need to alert my co-admins about this and the forum itself.  I'll ask them to not post anything when I give the okay to make the switch, so we make sure we do not lose anything.

Will the update screw up permission settings on the accounts?  As mentioned before there are hidden sections that users should not be able to access or view the new posts from.

And will it fix the ability to upload avatars?

Got more opinions on people preferring this look to the forum:

I'm not sure what I should review on that link you wanted me to review.  The alternate forum made looks decent and seems to work fine.

Got one reply back on the forum style.  And I agree with that user that this one might be the best look:

It's been a while since I've dealt with the inner workings of forums.  But what do you mean by main features?  We have a few hidden sections that needs to remain hidden (also so users cannot see new posts in the new posts feed from those sections.  Is that what you mean?
