Quote from: tanduy2506;537540Well, you find out solution for what?
Please share it. Excellent, friend :)

For "When someone register at website, then he/she receive confirmation e-mail and after clicking on it following message shows up: "Could not locate remote server"

1st step: To fix it, Administration > Approve Membership > Tick Automatic > Click approve membership just under, and scroll down almost on the bottom, > "Approve Membership" Member activation type: Tick Automatic

2nd step: Administration > (Modules Administration) Forums > (General Admin) Configuration > Enable account activation - tick None..... and thats it.

Now, when someone register, will receive e-mail with confirmation link, after clicking on it will activate account and i'm not sure if it gonna be Logged in or not, but anyway would not receive another e-mail with another passw or some complications.

Group Permissions Control

Here you can alter the permissions and moderator status assigned to each user group. Do not forget when changing group permissions that individual user permissions may still allow the user entry to forums, etc. You will be warned if this is the case.

- How to put multiple users in group?

Correct, to add a group which will be in same column with [Administrator] and  [Moderator] with own color, and members to have color of that group in forums etc..

Ok, no probs about avatars,...

Is there a way that I/You can upgrade phpBB2 2.0.19 to newer? phpBB2 2.0.19 seems to be old one

One more thing. theres is a "In total there is 1 user online :: 1 Registered, 0 Hidden and 0 Guests   [ Administrator ]   [ Moderator ]" is that possible to add groups which will be visible here same as administrator & moderator with defined color?

tnx

phpBB Support Forum / how to upload my own ranks?
March 03, 2011, 05:55:13 PM
I was messing around and found a really easy way with better ranks and quality...

E.g.: Go to Administration > User Groups > Add name for new group > goto description > click add image (add for example link image address http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/51/US_Army_E-9_CSM.svg/50px-US_Army_E-9_CSM.svg.png) and save.. there u go...

After that go to Administration > Forums > User admin-ranks > add new rank > type name and just copy image address from user groups (right click on image - copy image address) and paste it to "Rank Image (Relative to phpBB2 root path)"

Then go management, find some user that fits to you, scroll down on the bottom and there You have "Rank Title", so add him which on You created. Then just tell him to go post some message on forum, and hes rank with image will appear.

How simple is...

Check here for example: http://sexyuclan.freephpnuke.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1
