Customer Feedback / Re: DDoS Attacks

Thanks for that Paul.
I have been having a spot of trouble with the stargate portal. I used to have it working but now I just can't get it to work. Every thing seems ok and enabled but alas, nothing. Can you suggest a simple style that is compatible? Preferably blue.
Cheers

Hi Forum Mate
The DDoS attacks are not specifically against my site but against the host itself and it effects all their sites.
Does this happen here?

Greetings
I would like to know if ForumMate.com gets any DDoS attacks before committing mysrelf and members to my site that you host. We are presently are with jcink.com and the down time is quite annoying.

Hi Paul I did that and it works great for the forum page.

If a guest goes to  Fairdinkum.forummate.com • Portal  The home page comes on with the shoutbox visible.

Can we stop that?

Cheers flin

Ignore the above - Got it sorted   Thanks  Flin

Quote from: Paul;541224No and yes

What I do is click on pop up (this is to the right on the shoutbox border) then drag the side of the new window so it is virtually maximised, then on the window I already have opened I drag the size in so that which ever window you are looking at the other remains to one side to easily switch between the two, if you enable sound for new message then you can easily switch from one to the other without returning to the index to view the message.

Hope this helps

Thanks Paul
I think this will do nicely.

Once the shoutbox sound is enabled how do I switch easily from one to another?

Quote from: Paul;541215Hi fin
Settings for bbcode and smilies can be found in the ACP >> General >> post settings.
There are also personal settings in the user control panel >> board preferences >> edit posting defaults
Again< Paul you have come to the rescue.

Thank you very much.

Cheers
