phpBB3 Manuals and Guides / [MOD] Stop Forum Spam
August 05, 2011, 03:07:24 AM
Hi everyone,

I would to like to announce that Stop Forum Spam has been  fixed and integrated on our phpBB3.

If there is any problem, please contact us.

Just go ACP > .MOD > ANTI-SPAM > Stop Forum Spam to use that mod.
I notice that we don't allow to disable "Stop Forum Spam" mod for the forums created after Aug 1st, 2011.

That mod will get data from Stop Forum Spam
  • When someone try to login or register your forum, it will check username, email, IP
  • That mod use API to connect with the database of Stop Forum Spam
  • If that username / email / IP has already recognized at StopForumSpam,  that user will be lock and identified as a spammer.

  • In some case, there is just a mistake when that mod has identified s/he as spammer. You can Un-ban / un-exclude her/his information at ACP > USERS AND GROUPS > USER SECURITY :
    • If that mod has identified their Username as a spammer name, please try to un-ban / un-exclude their username.
    • If that mod has identified their IP as sending spam, please try to un-ban / un-exclude their IP. You can check your IP at Show My IP.
    • About the email, I think it's hard to believe that the owner of  spammed email is not a spammer :smiley-laughing:

Please help me to test it and let me know your feedback.
We really need your opinion to make it better.

Thanks you so much.

phpBB3 Manuals and Guides / [MOD] Anti-Spam ACP
August 04, 2011, 11:59:15 PM
Hi phpBB3 members,

I would to like to announce that Anti-Spam ACP has been installed on our phpBB3.

QuoteAnti-Spam ACP adds many powerful anti-spam features to your forum  such  as an IP Search tool, Spam Word list, control over profile fields,   flagging suspicious users (for logging their actions), and an easy one   click ban link from their profile which clears out their profile and   posts.

Current Features:
  • Spam Log
  • IP Search
  • Spam  word  catcher (like word censor, except makes posts by authors with less  than  X posts need approval if the post contains any of the words in the   list)
  • Disabling of certain profile fields until X number of posts (or require or always disable)
  • User   Flag (Allows you to flag a user (and unflag after they've been   flagged).  Once flagged, actions performed by that user to their   profile, or editing of posts, or adding posts gets listed on a log in   the ACP.)
  • Stop Forum Spam Integration
  • One Click Ban
[/LIST]Please follow that link below Lithium Studios * View topic - Anti-Spam ACP

For some special reason, we hide unnecessary features and not allow to disable that mod.

We also remove "Stop Forum Spam Integration" in that mod and make it in a new mod "Stop Forum Spam".

It's easy to control spammed members. Your members can flag the other member as a spammer...

We're waiting for your feedback.

Hi all PHP-Nuke members,

I would to like to announce that Stop Forum Spam v1.0 has been  integrated on our PHP-Nuke.

It bases on the "Stop Forum Spam" mod of phpBB3.
You can refer to: http://www.forummate.com/forums/phpbb3-manuals-guides/444816-mod-stop-forum-spam.html
Please log in ACP to find AntiSpam module:

Just enable that mod to use it right now.
I notice that we don't allow to disable "Stop Forum Spam" mod for the forums created after Aug 1st, 2011.

It also allow to select type to check spam.
  • If you select "Only for register new user", it won't check the old members. It's not really good if your site already have spammed users.
  • If you select "Check all cases", maybes some old members will be identified as spammer. You need to use "Exclude from banning" feature of "Forums" module.

It's not like phpBB3 but we try to add that feature into our "Forums" PHP-Nuke module.
When you exclude any user from banning, that username will display in bold
 text.

Please help me to test it and let you know your feedback.
We really need your feedback to make it better.

That mod will help you to prevent your site from so many spammers.
I recommend you to use it.

Thanks you so much.
