Can I shorten the URL using another site, or is it not allowed?

Oh and also if I shorten the URL will internet explorer not work, and people can't login, or is it only if I use it from admin > preferences it won't work

what you need is one of the following:
.co.nr
.tk
.so

^^ you can shorten your website for example:

something or
something.tk or
www. something.so

but they are still connected to greatnuke

1 Go for free URL Redirection. Register with any of free redirection services like Free URL Redirection, No Ads! Short Free Domain Name (you.co.nr) , Dot TK - Renaming The Internet or so and redirect it to your current address.

Or
2 Buy a domain (Not recommended as u need to spend money while u r getting free here although lengthier but FREE).

I know this has nothin to do with "Url" but I've already made lots of topics, so I'll just post here xD

Yeah, the site is going a bit slow, but it was very good yesterday and the day before that, but now it takes much longer to load.

The problem i don't think is your site, it may be due to your pc and which ever browser your using, i use firefox so at times i have a lot of tabs up which slows my site down "sometimes" other times it may be due to the servers in a command over flow or something...

I'll explain in detail.

"Once upon a time" there was a url redirection "www.tz4.com" with could completely replace your long long url eg:
//www.theghost.long_long_long_url.com to //www.theghost.tz4.com
and your topics and attachments eg:
//www.theghost.long_long_long_url.com/index.php?mforum=theghost&showtopic=2&st=0&#entry9128  to  //www.theghost.tz4.com/index.php?mforum=theghost&showtopic=2&st=0&#entry9128

and its valid using tz4 too coz while using this most of our users never knew that our url is Candyman (Powered by Invision Power Board) or //www.candyman.tz4.com

And for fact we have huge no. of users.
Here's an example/proof of our daily user registration stats.


It that much users couldn't revealed the actual url then its obvious it worked.


But unfortunately tz4.com no longer exists. and co.nr doesn't support actual shortening of url it just redirects.
