Venerated TV producer and host of "New Year's Rockin' Eve" Dick Clark has passed away, CNN has confirmed via his publicist. He was 82.
CNN has reached out regarding the cause of death. In 2004, Clark  suffered a stroke, causing him to step back from his duties as host of  "New Year's Rockin' Eve," which he also produced.
Clark resumed co-hosting the show along with Ryan Seacrest in 2006.
Known as "America's teenager" because of his longtime hosting duties  with the dance show "American Bandstand," Clark also hosted numerous  other television favorites including "$25,000 Pyramid" and "TV's  Bloopers and Practical Jokes."
