What Is A Moderator?

Moderators are divided into two classes: Global Moderators and normal Moderators.

Global Moderators are able to moderate the entire board while normal Moderators only moderate the forum that they're applied to moderate. All moderators have access to the Mod CP.

Before my forum went down yesterday, no one was able to see who moderators were because the link from the index page led to an error message. I liked this since I didn't want anyone to know there were moderators because they were given status to only edit posts that had links to downloads. Otherwise, it made for a better atmosphere with everyone thinking there were none.

To stop this initially, I made a group of moderators "Members " so that in the memberlist, it would look the same. That seemed to do the trick. However, now, that remedy is void since the link on the index page now works.

Is there somehow I can take off that link from the index page or allow moderators to exist without the regular members knowing?
