Can I Hide or Remove Ip Addresses In Posts?

Your IP addresses will be seen by all Administrators and Global Moderators regardless of what you do. DISABLING this is not an option. However, IP addresses can NEVER be viewed by Guests.

By default, user groups that you created (Members, Validating, and Banned) CAN NOT view IP addresses unless you enable them to.

Here are the steps to enable other user groups (Members, Validating, and Banned) to be able to view IP addresses:

1. Either add that group or user as a Forum Moderator.

2. Form there you will have the option of toggling the option of allowing the moderators to view IP addresses or not.

Admin CP -> Forum Control -> Moderators

Click on Edit next to the user or user group that moderates a specific forum. Now find the option where it says "Can view posters IP addresses?" toggle this option.

Once you've completed, the edit click on the Add this moderator button to save your changes.

Repeat this process for every other forum moderated by a member or user group.
