Hi new member with stickie question

Ok just got my new forum and am getting used to it . My problem is when i post there is no option to make a sticky and have also gone back and checked in edit post. So what am i missing. Thanks for any help in advance.

there should be two drop down boxes to the bottom right under your "post".

and

> quick mod tools

collapse the quick mod tools drop down box and click "Change To Sticky"

The topic type(Sticky, Announce, Global) can be chosen when posting a new topic or editing the first post of the previously posted topic.

Did you set your permission to Admin or Mod?

there is no listing for sticky in the mod tools drop down and i am the admin and i am set in permissions as admin .

You need to set moderator permissions for yourself on the forums as well. Even if you are the admin. Set global Mod access with full Mod permissions for the admin.

ok i am a mod now but still no stickys so some more help will be needed here is my forum address thanks in advance for the help.

Go to AdminCP --> click on Permissions tab --> User' permissions --> type in your username --> select Global Moderator Permissions or Admin Permissions from the drop-down select box --> Submit.

Still nothing down to two things left before i can open my forum to my members stickies and one other thing and i cant get it to work . Any other advice would be very welcome at this point. As i really need the sticky option. Thanks in advance for any help .
