Registration Error??? Need Lots of Help...

Hey guys I am very new to this forum and this whole forum idea...I have just installed PHPBB3 via Fantastico in my Cpanel...

When I try to create a new user it gives me this error:

The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again. The confirmation code you entered was incorrect.

It sounds like you're not hosting here so your ACP setting may be a little different than ours but I'll try to help you anyway.

You've probably updated to a version of phpBB which includes the "Visual Confirmation" on registration, but are using an old theme which does not show it.

The quickest fix is to temporarily change your admin profile back to subSilver, go into the Admin Control Panel, and turn Visual Confirmation off. In the Configuration screen or the 'General' tab go to User Registration Settings and select 'NO' next to 'Enable visual confirmation for registrations'. There is no point using it any more, the SPAMbots can solve it anyway.
