Announcements & News

Hello everyone. I hope everything is going well.

I´ve been having problems that Tanduy finally fixed for me. However, I cant get to show announcements or news on the portal. I tried everything.

Can anybody check this for me?

Thank you very much.

Alex.

Hi Alex,
I know you really want this block .
But it doesn't work because in some case the stargate portal's block is not compatible with phpBB.

I'm so sorry about that.
Why don't you use the Static Pages?
Maybes it will be useful for you. Please refer to: http://www.forummate.com/forums/phpbb...tic-pages.html

Tanduy, as always, I want to thank you. Yes, static pages can also work for me. However I might have one more question for you. I managed to create a static page and link it to the navigation menu, but, is it possible to get the static page and still get the left blocks such as the nav menu?

Thank you very much for your help!!

Alex.

No, you can't.
It's up to the template you use.
You only can add this link at navigation menu

I've just disabled Announcements block.
Now it's invisible to select.

Can you help me to check the other blocks of our portal, please?
That's just my suggestion. Never mind if you're so busy.

Bye, Alex.

Yes, of course.. I will help you with anything I can. What about the news block? My knowledge is that when you do a post, next to the announcement option you should get the "news" option which allows it to get to the news block, but the option isn't there. Therefore, I suppose it is not working, am I right?

Let me know. This is already off topic I suppose. Do you want to discuss this in another thread or by pm?

Alex.

Hi Alex,

It supports BBCode, Custom BBCodes - HTML cannot be used in this MOD.
You must add your custom BBCodes (ACP > POSTING > BBCodes)

Don't worry! We'll Predefine BBCodes for phpBB3 soon.

Try to learn BBCodes, Alex.
