Help needed with Restoring a Backup!

My old forum was shut down but I got a backup, is there a way I can import my backup somehow?

I looked in my Admin Control Panel and went into Maintenance and then Restore, it says "There are no items yet." How do I get my backup there?

Please help I need my stuff back. I have a .sql backup file and a .sql.gz archive.
