aJAX shout Box Option Problem

Good day. Can i ask how can i configure the ajax shoutbox? Coz i want to Remove the [Img] and [http] insert Option cos some members will use that option to advertise there links or just to flood the shoutbox by inserting verry very big images

You can not remove but you can just click on PRUNE and problem solved.If you are admin and owner.If they remove that mean remove for all us wich i don't like it.

im not saying they will remove it BUT i ask if they can put a option on removing it. Cos even you are owner you will not always online. And mods are also not always online to guard or moderate the forum specially if you have large numbers of users online. And some members will try to adverts other sites or what ever on shoutbox.

I'm like you stonerey and don't like the fact you can post links and images in the shout box.

As you say a choice to turn on and off the various options would be good,

We did have enquiries about this last year but not sure if it was just not possible.......would be good if it could be implemented.

thank you. Coz i have already administer a Vb forum with ajax shoutbox and i have that option to control what will option appear. If you have 200people log in in a time its hard to moderate the shoutbox plus forum.most especially thos person intended only to advertise there sites.i hope the option will be implimented.

Hi stonerey,

Our shoutbox don't have these options like that.
About mChat, I think it's not really cool.

It will be more complicated if we add the options to turn on/off these BBCodes.
Do you mind if we don't add that feature?

ok thank u for answering my questions....im just worrying on some people what really inteded to advertise or just spam the shoutbox. Or if you have capabilities can you remove it only on the forum i created?

Actually, I like your suggestion.
It will help to prevent spams They won't post any image or link on the shoutbox.
But I don't know what I should do now
We still haven't finished somethings else.

Oh,

I don't know how to contact the Shoutbox author
You know, our phpBB is free.
So there are a lot of mod not perfect. Maybe they don't develop it more.
I'll search more and reply you later.
We can add some permission to turn on/off these features like you want.
But may be it'll waste a lot of time and not necessary for all... or maybe it'll become the other thing like mChat mod
