Hi mate, just joined your forum and it looks like you have put some thought into it however just a few of points to help you out

1/ The captcha could possibly do with making a bit easier to read

2 / You may want to personalise the welcome message thats shown when first entering

3 / May be adding a few posts or sample posts so your new members get the idea of the sort of content you want them to post will help.

You could always make an imaginary user (see link) to get the ball rolling
